School Vision & Values

'Life in all its fullness'

We aim to provide a safe, inspiring and child-friendly environment which welcomes children, their families and the wider Ambleside community to our school. We aim to support all of our children to develop a sense of personal worth and to reach their full potential.

In order to achieve our vision, we aim to do the following:

  • Embed Christian Values throughout all that we do in order for our pupils to be thoughtful, kind and caring young people who will make a positive contribution to society both today and in the future.
  • Provide memorable, motivating and relevant lessons as part of a broad academic curriculum which enables all of our pupils to grow and develop and to discover their own interests, talents and future aspirations.
  • Encourage a lifelong love of learning through high quality teaching which is engaging, inclusive, fun and varied.
  • Support the physical and mental well-being of children, staff and all those connected with the school.
  • Provide an environment where everyone feels secure, valued, respected and understood.
  • Encourage all in our community to have a sense of responsibility for themselves, for each other and for their environment.
  • Nurture strong links with our local community (of which we are all a part of) through partnership work, events, visitors and school trips.

Our Core Christian Values

Everyone in our school community all had a voice in deciding on the 6 core Christian Values for our school. They are:

friendship, thankfulness, forgiveness, hope, trust and fellowship.

Our values are on display on our ‘Values Tree’ as soon as you enter our school. Every few weeks, we focus on one of our school values and, when it is observed in action within our school, the moment is recorded on a leaf for the tree to provide inspiration for everyone in our school community.
