Local Governing Body

Ambleside Church of England Primary School has 12 members of the Local Governing Body bringing a range of experience to help our school to achieve its vision.

Although we are volunteers, we are professional, committed and passionate about what we do.

Role of the Local Governing Body:

  • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
  • Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils and the performance management of staff.
  • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
